Hand embroidered or handmade shawls: 5% at any price.
Everything else: 5% if the piece is ₹2,500 or less before GST (₹2,625 with GST), 18% above that. The slab is per piece, not per bill.
₹2,626 to ₹2,950 is the dead zone: 18% takes more than you gain, so you keep less than at ₹2,625.
HSN 6214 is the heading for shawls, scarves and mufflers. While yearly turnover is under ₹5 crore, the 4-digit code on the bill is enough. Woolmark is a certificate, not a tax category. Machine embroidery is not hand embroidery. Confirm borderline pieces with your CA.
